List G Barristers is proud to introduce new members Catherine Pase, Thomas Rawlinson, James Gray, Hugh Crosthwaite and Anthony Middleton. We warmly welcome them to the List G Barristers tradition of professional excellence and expertise in commercial and public law advocacy, strategy and advice.

Catherine Pase

Catherine Pase practises in all areas of industrial relations, employment, and health and safety law. Before Catherine joined the Victorian Bar, she was Special Counsel in the Employment, Industrial Relations and Safety group at Herbert Smith Freehills. Prior to joining Herbert Smith Freehills, Catherine worked in the equivalent teams of Lander and Rogers and the Australian Government Solicitor. She started her legal career as an associate to the Honourable Justice Jessup of the Federal Court of Australia.

Tom Rawlinson

Thomas Rawlinson practises in all areas of commercial, regulatory and public law. Before coming to the Bar, Tom practised as a senior associate at Phi Finney McDonald in Melbourne, an associate at Kaplan Hecker & Fink in New York, and an associate at Allens in Melbourne. Tom was also an associate to the Hon Justice Nettle AC at the High Court of Australia and the Hon Chief Justice Riley AO at the Supreme Court of the Northern Territory.

James Gray

James Gray practises in all areas of commercial and public law. James' areas of expertise include class actions, royal commissions and inquiries, corporations law, and contractual disputes. Before coming to the Bar, James was an Associate to Justice Maxwell, President of the Court of Appeal. Prior to this role, he was a solicitor in the disputes practice of Herbert Smith Freehills. During his time at HSF, James worked on large and complex commercial disputes, as well as the Royal Commission into Victoria's Mental Health System.

Anthony Middleton

Anthony Middleton practises in all areas of commercial and public law. Before coming to the Bar, Anthony was an Associate at the Federal Court of Australia to the Honourable Justice Mark Moshinsky and the Honourable Justice Helen Rofe. Prior to his time at the Federal Court, Anthony practised for four years as a solicitor at Minter Ellison.

Hugh Crosthwaite

Hugh Crosthwaite practises in all areas of employment and industrial relations law. Before coming to the Bar, Hugh was an Associate at Maurice Blackburn in the employment and industrial team. While there Hugh instructed in complex industrial, discrimination and administrative law matters. Prior to working at Maurice Blackburn, Hugh was employed by AGS, where he gained experience in Commonwealth administrative law and litigation practice. In 2013 Hugh was the Associate to Justice Murphy of the Federal Court of Australia.
