The members of List G Barristers warmly welcome our new readers Trina Malone and Catharine Thorpe. We know Trina and Catharine will excel in their chosen careers as barristers at the Victorian Bar. We also extend our congratulations to all the new readers who graduated from the readers course in their respective areas of law.

Trina joins us most recently from the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office where she specialised in constitutional, administrative and human rights law. Prior to that she was a senior lawyer at the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department and an Associate to the Honourable Kate McMillan at the Supreme Court of Victoria. At the Victorian Bar, Trina will be practising primarily in commercial law and public law. She also welcomes briefs in common law and employment matters.

Catharine joins us most recently from the Victorian Government Solicitor’s Office where in her role as Managing Principal Solicitor in the Constitutional and Advice team, she advised in all areas of public law, and practised in Supreme Court judicial review proceedings and proceedings raising constitutional issues. Prior to that she was a Senior Legal Advisor at the Department of Justice and Community Safety, a Senior Associate at Maddocks, and an Associate to the Honourable Stephen McLeish at the Supreme Court of Victoria, Court of Appeal. Catharine commenced her legal career as an Associate Attorney at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP in New York. At the Victorian Bar, Catharine will be practising primarily in public law and commercial law.
