List G Barristers is proud to introduce three of the Victorian Bar's newest members who signed the Bar Roll on 5 May this year. We warmly welcome Julia Lucas, Rudi Kruse and Israel Cowen to the List G Barristers tradition of professional excellence and expertise in commercial and public law advocacy, strategy and advice.
Julia Lucas has a broad practice incorporating public and commercial law and regulatory prosecution. She has a particular interest in the intersection between public and criminal law matters. Prior to the bar, Julia was a Senior Lawyer with the Australian Government Solicitor in the General Administrative Law team focusing on immigration law. Her broad litigation practice also included Competition and Consumer Law, Workers’ Compensation and Law Enforcement.
Rudi Kruse practises in public and commercial law. Before coming to the Bar, he was an associate to the Hon Justice Hayne AC at the High Court of Australia, an associate to the Hon Justice McLeish at the Victorian Court of Appeal and was the Researcher to the Solicitor-General for Victoria (then Stephen McLeish SC). Rudi previously worked as a solicitor in commercial disputes at Minter Ellison.
Israel has a broad practice incorporating commercial, intellectual property and public law. Prior to coming to the Bar, he served as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Middleton and as an Associate to the Honourable Justice Moshinsky at the Federal Court of Australia. Israel also worked as a solicitor at Allens on a range of intellectual property, corporate insolvency and tax litigation matters.
