Peter Jopling AM QC was re-elected as an advocate representative, a role that represents barristers on the Legal Services Board.
The Legal Services Board is the peak regulator for the legal profession in Victoria. It is responsible for a broad range of functions including approving rules that govern the profession, monitoring trust accounts, lawyer registration as well as bestowing grants to enhance legal education and accessibility.
The skills and knowledge Peter brings to the Board will help to maintain the Board’s reputation for strong governance and leadership as well as maintaining effective regulations across the legal community in Victoria.
