Julian was awarded the Sydney Peace Prize for his principled and brave advocacy for asylum seekers and human rights. This includes his continual lobbying of the Australian Government to respect its international human rights obligations, and for his uncompromising defence of the rule of law as a means to protect the world’s most vulnerable people.
