The Law Council of Australia is the national body representing 16 state and territory legal professional bodies as well as the large law firm group. The Executive is comprised of five representatives of the Law Council's constituent bodies. The Law Council of Australia speaks on issues of national and international importance, federal law and the operation of federal courts and tribunals. They also represent the Australian legal profession overseas, and maintains close relationships with legal professional bodies throughout the world.
