At a cocktail function in the Supreme Court Library on 15 September 2011, the Hon Michael Black AC QC, former Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia, launched Bryan Keon-Cohen QC's memoir Mabo in the Courts: from Islander Tradition to Native Title: A Memoir. The book is an insider's account of the landmark native title case and discusses Mabo's motivations, the Murray Islander witnesses, their culture, a lengthy trial, Queensland's determined opposition, the lawyers and judges and final success in the High Court.

The function was well attended by various members of List G Barristers and the Victorian Bar, all of whom congratulate the author and wish him every success with his publication.
