Richard Knowles practises predominantly in administrative law and commercial law litigation

Richard is regularly briefed by Commonwealth and State government agencies. Richard has appeared in the High Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of Victoria, the Federal Court of Australia, the Federal Circuit Court, the County Court of Victoria, the Magistrates' Court of Victoria, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal and the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. 

Prior to coming to the Bar, Richard was a Senior Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution team at Clayton Utz. In this role his core practice areas were administrative law and commercial law litigation and advice work. Richard's administrative law practice included merits review and judicial review proceedings for Commonwealth government clients. His commercial experience while Senior Associate ranged from contractual disputes to insolvency proceedings and corporate regulatory matters.
