Katie Gardiner specialises in corporate and tax whistleblower laws, workplace investigations and employment disputes.

Katie has extensive commercial disputes expertise, having acted for large resources, financial services, construction and pharmaceutical companies.

Prior to joining the Bar, Katie was a Senior Associate at Allens, where she acted on regulatory investigations and conducted complex commercial litigation involving tax, construction, insolvency and employment law. Most recently at Allens, she specialised in the role of Counsel – Investigations & Whistleblowing, advising on and conducting whistleblower and workplace investigations for leading corporations, government and tertiary institutions.

At the Bar, Katie has acted in a range of matters in the Fair Work Commission and the Federal Circuit and Family Court involving unfair dismissal, general protections/adverse action and the Fair Work Act small claims procedure, as well as conducting reportable conduct and workplace investigations. She also has experience responding to statutory demands.

Katie was previously an associate to the Honourable Justice Sloss in the Commercial Court of the Supreme Court of Victoria.

Katie is reading with Rebecca Davern, and her senior mentor is Jonathan Kirkwood SC.
