Julia has a particular interest in the intersection between public and criminal law matters. As a Solicitor Advocate, she appeared regularly in the Supreme Court, Federal Court, Federal Circuit Court and Administrative Appeals Tribunal. Prior to the bar, Julia was a Senior Lawyer with the Australian Government Solicitor in the General Administrative Law team focusing on immigration law.
Julia's broad litigation practice also included Competition and Consumer Law, Workers’ Compensation and Law Enforcement. Before coming to Melbourne, Julia was a Solicitor in the Crown Solicitor’s Office of South Australia where she acted and appeared in a variety of administrative and disciplinary law matters, regulatory prosecutions and appeals. Julia was also Associate to the Honourable Justice Sulan of the Supreme Court of South Australia.
