Julia practises principally in public, regulatory, employment and disciplinary law.

She has extensive experience in public law and her practice includes advising and acting on behalf of and against a broad range of State and Commonwealth Government clients. She has particular expertise in judicial review of administrative decisions and actions.

Julia appears and advises in employment and industrial law related disputes. She has a particular interest and experience in the intersection between administrative and employment law. She has acted and advised in occupational health and safety prosecutions and in disciplinary tribunal proceedings.

Before coming to the bar, Julia was a Senior Lawyer at the Australian Government Solicitor, a Solicitor at the Crown Solicitor’s Office of South Australia and Associate to the Hon. Justice Sulan of the Supreme Court of South Australia.

At the bar, Julia read with Richard Knowles KC and her Senior Mentor is Rachel Doyle SC.
