Hamish has a general commercial practice and appears in proceedings in all jurisdictions including the Supreme Court, Court of Appeal and Federal Courts in Victoria and interstate. He appears in a range of general commercial disputes concerning banking & finance law, contractual, equitable, property and trade practices claims

Hamish appears in matters in a number of other areas including corporations and insolvency (including managed investment scheme litigation), maritime and aviation law, insurance, class actions and appeals. His maritime law matter expertise includes ship arrests, cargo damage claims, charter party disputes and applications to enforce foreign arbitral awards.

Hamish has also been briefed in arbitrations concerning international commercial disputes.
