Eddy Gisonda practises in commercial, public and employment law

Before joining the Bar, Eddy was an associate to Justice Hayne in the High Court of Australia, and a solicitor at both Freehills and Mallesons.  He was also a lecturer in the fields of equity, contract, and restitution at the University of Melbourne.  Whilst at the Bar, Eddy took a 12 month appointment as chief legal counsel to the Premier of Victoria.

Eddy appears in all courts and tribunals.  His recent experience includes acting for Radhika Oswal in her $1.2b claim against the ANZ, acting for Boral in its damages claim against the CFMEU, assisting the Hon Peter Heerey AM QC in his investigation of Vice President Michael Lawler, and advising the Essendon Football Club in its dispute with James Hird.

He has also been briefed in numerous mass class actions and inquires, including the Centro Class Action, the Black Saturday Class Action, the Bank Fees Class Action, and the Royal Commission into Trade Unions.
