Chris acts in commercial law matters, particularly where issues of contract, equity, banking (including security enforcement) or corporations law arise.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Chris was a Senior Associate in the insolvency team of Ashurst Australia. In that role, he gained a wealth of advisory and litigious experience, acting for insolvency practitioners, secured and unsecured creditors, and company directors.
In over 15 years of practice as a solicitor, Chris conducted a broad range of litigation in all Courts and the VCAT, regularly appearing and representing clients at mediation.
Chris has a Bachelor of Laws and Arts (with Honours) from Monash University and a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. In 2011 he completed the ARITA advanced insolvency course with High Distinction.
In addition to his practice at the Bar, Chris teaches Civil Procedure, Contracts, Equity and Corporations Law at Monash University on a sessional basis.
