Rebecca Nelson practises in a wide range of commercial matters including corporations, administrative law and major tort class actions

Rebecca also has particular expertise in employment and discrimination matters and is currently ranked by respected peer review publications Best Lawyers and Doyle's Guide for this area of law.  Rebecca is regularly instructed on employment and discrimination law matters, primarily by employers, in the Federal Court.

Before joining the bar, Rebecca completed her articles at Arthur Robinson and Hedderwicks (now Allens) before practising as a Senior Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Hong Kong in Commercial Litigation, focussing on cross-border shareholder, joint venture agreement disputes and international arbitration. On her return to Australia, Rebecca practised again in the Commercial Litigation team at Allens Arthur Robinson (now Allens) where she had carriage of significant employment and discrimination matters. 

Rebecca has also appeared in a number of high profile class actions, including the Murrindindi bushfire class action in 2014 and 2015 and the Regent Holdings abalone class action in 2013 as well high-profile commercial litigation such as the litigation involving Asahi Holdings in 2014.
